was listed (in no particular order). Here's what it said...
RADIOHEAD Resume: (1988-) Legacy: Okay, we're talking
about three guitarists rather than one, but the sum is definitely greater
than the parts. Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, and Thom Yorke
have forged a brotherhood of interlocking guitar styles to produce wonderfully
dense and evocative soundscapes. Their voices dart in and out of the mix,
meld into a crescendo, then drop away to highlight a single riff or instrument.
The dynamic interplay of the trio is awe-inspiring, recalling the roar-to-silence
dynamics that Jimmy Page worked so effectively with Le Zeppelin. The guitar
gang has also managed to break pop conventions by turning in a hit, "Paranoid
Android", a six-minute-plus opus of overlapping melodies and textures.
From the whispers to the screams, and from beatific shimmers to ugly distortions,
Radiohead's command of dynamics and texture point the way toward 21st-century
