OUT STANDING began in November 1998 with a formation of 5 elements that
after some alterations became:

In August 1999 they had the chance to record their first demo tape, "Time
Will Say", that sold over 400 copies in countries such as: Portugal, Spain,
Belgium and Brazil. From this demo tape some songs were used in compilations
like: Raia Tone I (Portugal), Steel Attack II (Portugal), Pogo Rec. (Brazil),
Promusica Nº 44 (Front cover) (Portugal).
In April 2000 OUT STANDING recorded the promotional song "Price of Gain"
that was distributed to countries such as: Belgium, USA, Brazil, Mexico,
Yugoslavia, Croatia, Germany, France, Spain, U.K., Russia, Denmark, Canada,
Holland, Sweden, Ireland and included in compilations like: Promusica Nº47
(revelation CD) (Portugal), Raia Lab (Portugal), Big Tiger Comp. (Portugal),
Mad Fish Music (Irlanda), Red Empire Rec. (Brazil). The promotional CD
was reviewed by several national magazines (Loud, Riff Nº11 &
Nº15, Mondo Bizarre, Promusica Nº44, 47 and 54) as well as international
ones like Metal Hammer (England), Hard Wired (Germany), High Powered (France),
Resurreccion (Spain), Dark City (Russia), and Metal Hammer gave them permission
to use the following comment: "Their anti flag style and in package is
very well designed "in Metal Hammer
In February 2002 they signed for the International label Fonomusic and
the recording process of their first album started in April. "Increasing
the Cabal" comes with 10 new songs and some participation of invited musicians.
This album was re-realesed by Warner Music Spain in December 2003, and
is still distributed by Warner Music Portugal/Spain.
The album "Increasing the Cabal" is distributed in countries such as: Spain,
Portugal, Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Belgium and United Kingdom.
The band played live with many, many bands in Portugal and Spain (Anger,
Better Than a Thousand, Deviot, Blasted Mechanism, Micky 8, New Winds,
Drool Sniper, 99 Sticker, Sphnix, Da Weasel, Sannyasin, Poiting Finger,
etc.).
The album promotion goes through several national and international magazines
(Loud, Promusica, Blitz, Raio-X, Mondo Bizarre, Rock Sound (Spain &
Portugal), Los + Mejores, Hard Rock, Kerrang, Staff Magazine, Rock Nation,
Hard & Heavy, Fragebogen Heavy Metal, Forbidden Rite magazine...) and
some national & international television channels (SIC Radical, RTP,
RTP International, VIVA II, Sol Musica, MCM, MTV Brasil), Void Inside,
Killing Styles and Path To Nowhere Fast were the name of the three singles
taken from the first album that were broadcasted in the same TV Channels
and both got more than 20.000 in some videos websites.
In June 2004 a horrible accident happened and Carlos Nunes died so the
band was forced to cancel all the shows.
In May 2005 they release a new SPLIT CD by the Belgium label Wanted recordings
distributed worldwide by Goodlife recordings with Alabama Roadstars (Germany)
and Jimmy Dinamite (Spain). Right now there are playing live promoting
the new release!
